Technical note: The 1756-PA75R redundant power module enables automatic chassis load sharing

The 1756-PA75R is a redundant power supply. This power supply functions similarly to a standard power supply, except that this module is mounted outside the case and paired with a redundant power supply with the same directory number.

The 1756-PA75 is primarily used for redundancy operations and enables automatic chassis load sharing between redundant power pairs. It is also fitted with a separate status indicator to indicate the operation of the power pair. It also has a solid-state relay that provides a contact output that can be used to indicate the status of the power supply when connected to a signaling device.
