Symphony Plus includes a comprehensive set of standards-based control hardware and software to meet the requirements of entire factory automation. The SD Series PROFIBUS interface PDP800 provides connectivity between the SymphonyPlus controller and the PROFIEUS DP communication channel. This makes it easy to integrate smart devices such as smart transmitters, actuators and smart electronic devices (IEDs). Each device's resident information can then be used for control policies and higher-level applications.

In addition to providing a more rigorous and reliable process control solution, the PDP800 PROFIBUS solution also reduces installation costs by reducing cabling and system footprint. System costs are further reduced by using S+Engineering to configure and maintain PROFIBUS networks and devices and their associated control strategies.
