2、为什么要用接触器?
你可能会问,为什么要用接触器呢?直接把电机连接到PLC上去控制不行吗?答案是否定的。
这是为什么呢?因为你不能直接把一个高压电机,连接到价格昂贵的PLC上,如果那样做的话,一旦电机侧有浪涌,就直接把PLC模块打坏掉了。正确的做法是,在PLC与电机之间,加入一个接触器进行间接控制,也就能起到保护PLC的作用了。
这里的“间接”又是个什么意思呢?
其实,所有的接触器内,都会有一个低压线圈。我们把PLC的输出连接到这个低压线圈上,而这个低压线圈的工作电压通常都是直流24伏的。只要这个低压线圈通电,就会产生一个电磁场,这个电磁场会吸合这里的三个触点,从而导通电源回路,使得电机启动。
需要注意的是,这里的线圈和触点之间是没有直接的物理连接的。触点的通断完全由线圈产生的电磁场进行控制,当线圈没有通电时,触点断开;当PLC发出24伏的直流信号时,线圈通电,触点闭合,电机启动。

2. Why use a contactor?
Why use a contactor, you may ask? Can't we directly connect the motor to the PLC for control? The answer is no.
Why is this? Because you cannot directly connect a high-voltage motor to an expensive PLC, if you do that, if there is a surge on the motor side, it will directly damage the PLC module. The correct approach is to add a contactor for indirect control between the PLC and the motor, which can also protect the PLC.
What does' indirect 'mean here?
In fact, all contactors will have a low-voltage coil inside. We connect the output of the PLC to this low-voltage coil, and the working voltage of this low-voltage coil is usually 24V DC. As long as this low-voltage coil is energized, an electromagnetic field will be generated, which will attract the three contacts here, leading to the conduction of the power circuit and causing the motor to start.
It should be noted that there is no direct physical connection between the coil and the contact here. The on-off of the contact is completely controlled by the electromagnetic field generated by the coil. When the coil is not energized, the contact opens; When the PLC sends a 24V DC signal, the coil is energized, the contacts close, and the motor starts.
